 Watercolor paint naturally lends itself well to a more spontaneous and playful approach.  I let the watercolor flow and guide me; finding hidden images and organic shapes within the paint.  Going with the flow is very meditaive and the process of applying the paint becomes more important than the final product.  I like to work back into my watercolors later on with pen and ink to draw attention to certain areas, or creating a drawing over the watercolors and sometimes adding a little glitter.  (A little trick I learned from my daughters).
